Come to Samui!

26th to 31st march Ko Samui, Thailand

Food market
Bang Por

Wat Khunaram

Temple in Marias garden

The coincidence of meeting Maria, Sam and Noami made me change the unfixed route :P and end up in Ko Samui. Of course it's special to get to know a place with locals: live in Thai style house - with buddha figures in the garden, an outdoor kitchen and a shower that ist coming out of a bambu pipe ( I owe you a picture of this shower), seeing the best beaches, meeting nice people, going to the crazy food market (they sale rats and frogs right beside the chicken-yummy) and do some nice shopping.

Thank you guys for these days! I enjoyed it so much!

22nd to 26th march Ko Tao, Thailand

Picture from the boat
Maria

Sam, Naomi and Maria
Sairee Beach

After days of the noisy and partying island of Ko Phagnan, we arrived to Ko Tao. In Sairee the main road next to beach is the smallest road you could ever imagine. Simply cute, small, harmonious and lounge places to go and watch the sunsets. The first day was a Raggae-Thai festival next to the beach. So I went to have a look and got out meeting a friend I didn' t see for 9 years. Just that day, in that moment on that corner we looked at each for a while until we realized - coincidence on the other side of the world. She lives in Ko Samui with Sam and her little daughter Naomi. Such a pretty family. We spend a couple days together in Ko Tao enjoying the beach, the sun , drinking fruit shakes, going by boat and snorkelling.

16th to 22nd march Ko Phangan, Thailand

We rented a bike for a week, which was kind of crazy if you see the cliffy roads over here. I recommend Hat Tian and Hat Yuan to stay. You just arrive there by boat from Hat Rin. There we went to a nice party at Guys Bar. Half Moon was not worth. Still tough we had a great time, met many nice people and I got the best massages of a Thai woman called O.

14th to 16th march Railay Beach - Krabi, Thailand

12th to 14th march Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Amazing place. A mixture of all kind of cultures in one spot: chinese, indians and of course malaysian. Very modern as well as traditional architecture. Between all this the monorail (a skytrain) remined me of the Jetstones.

It rained quite a lot, but in these couple days, we got to see a lot: Petronas Tower - the bridge was impressive, Chinatown, the Indian area and the National Museum. What I learned about this place: Malaysia was the main trading market from 1356 until 1511. Sailors from all the world would come here and trade with textiles, spices, weapons, porcellains, etc.. Then it got controlled by the Portuguese, then the Dutch, the British and the Japanese. Finally in Kuala Lumpur you see the big melting pot of cultures that has gone through their history even today.
