3rd april - 8th april Siem Reap, Cambodia

Crossing the border was a real adventure. In Bangkok they told us to ignore everyone that would offer us to arrange the Cambodian visa before the border plus we would have to pay the visa in dollars. Wrong. Crossing the border made us realize that all were under one hat- a very big one. The guy that tried to convince us o do the visa before the border was a good friend of the Cambodian border police. Again we had to change money and pay for the visa in Thai currency.

Cambodia is different. Mainly all houses are made out of wood and straw. Kids work- this is usual here. Many have lost arms o r legs because of the landmines and because they don't have money to pay a doctor.
They try to rip off tourists cnonstantly. Bargain is a must. Still though their poor conditions, Cambodians are really nice and chilled-out peolple. And their cooking is delicious.

Siem Reap is like Las Vegas- in middle of nowhere you find the best hotels and restaurants. We visited the Temples of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom on the first day.
